Dover District Council is working with IBD Group to offer independent retailers a free business mentoring programme to help them:

• develop a business plan
• set goals
• produce a marketing strategy

Retailers can get targeted support from ibd Group mentors Jason Hayward and Sally Pepper.

This will cover all aspects of retailing from business planning to marketing strategies.

The mentors will also provide specific support byhelping retailers to understand:

• how making a small change can have a big impact
• which marketing platforms are right for theirbusiness
• why having a plan and setting goals can help theirbusiness grow
• who their ideal customers are
